My mother retired from cosmetology after 30 years of serving her clients. As I was growing up I used to assist her in salon by sweeping the floor, folding towels, and pulling papers off of perm rods. My mother worked hard and provided a whole lot for me by choosing this amazing and life-touching profession.
I have seen first hand how what you do matters and I want you to provide for your families just as my mother provided for hers. For almost 8 years I have developed and serviced beauty shears for cosmetologists from New York City and Western Washington. This has allowed me to be well connected with stylists and stay in regular communication, listening to their needs. I don’t think many stylists know there’s an advocate board that can stand up for those needs and communicate to the state of Washington best business practices on their behalf, allowing them to continue and thrive in this business.
I would love to connect more stylists to the people who want to help them. I have so much respect for what you’ve already done to stand up against the State trying to end booth rentals. You proved that the collective voice of cosmetologists matter. I would love to serve alongside of you and help the others learn their voice matters too.
