2022 Annual Meeting

ANNUAL MEETING OCCURRED SEPT 19, 2022: COWU conducted its annual meeting virtually on behalf of the organization and enrolled Advocates. At that time- the Board elections were tallied and a new Board of Directors was initiated for 2022-2024.

President- Raeana Rader

Treasurer- Moriah Holmes

Secretary- D’Arcy Harrison

Moriah Holmes (pictured below) has been added as a new Board member.

Bio for Moriah Holmes: “Moe is a licensed cosmetologist of 10 years. Her passion for her craft shows in the care she provides, mapping out a customized plan with her guest to achieve their individual hair needs and dreams, with the utmost respect and personalized communication given. She is well trained in blonding, balayage and corrective color and is a JOICO educator. Moe loves to learn and use new techniques along with tried and true methods, to achieve hair goals for her awesome clients. She has been in many roles including: commission stylist, salon manager, booth renter to now suite owner for 3 years. In her business, Moe also wears the hats of accountant and tax preparer and the joke continues that Moe’s first language is numbers and second language is English. Kayaking, exploring the PNW, gardening, traveling, and time with family and her 3 dogs keeps Moe thriving in life. #stayawesome #keepitweird”

Working with Dept Of Licensing: COWU has established regular communications and quarterly check- ins with WA State Dept Of Licensing. This assists us in better facilitating on behalf of enrolled advocates as well as the industry as a whole. Currently, we are working in partnership with DOL to create a virtual webinar training that reviews and coaches with troubleshooting tactics for renewing professional and/or business licenses for our trade segment.
